June 26 is the International Day in Solidarity with Victims of Torture

On June 26th the mainstream media must talk about psychiatric abuse, otherwise they’re being extremely insensitive by neglecting to do so. Psychiatric survivors need validation.

There must be huge recognition, on June 26th of the torture regime psychiatric survivors suffered, are suffering, and those who have died from it, as well as those who comply with the brain-washing, because they have little choice now they are addicted to cocktails of harmful psych drugs. The 25 years that are taken away, the abilities that are destroyed, the disabling of so many by force. It is the use of force, in psychiatry, that must stop.

Most psychiatric survivors have never committed a crime, but they are victims of crime. Society punishes those grieving, unless the grieving person has support. Support for those that are unusual, different, before their time, is not a given in most societies, especially Australia. Australia has a tendency to alienate diversity. Alienating a person, causes grief. People want and need to connect to the rest of society, and it is distressing when they cannot because of societal fears and prejudices based on ugly regimes that do not help society ameliorate, or improve society's ethics.

Australia has signed the United Nation’s CRPD. This means that use of psychiatric force on citizens of this country who have not committed a crime, is illegal.

‘The UN Special Rapporteur on Torture in March 2013 called for an absolute ban on nonconsensual psychiatric interventions, including restraint, solitary confinement, and nonconsensual administration of electroshock, psychosurgery and mind-altering drugs such as neuroleptics.  He also urged repeal of legal provisions authorizing confinement and compulsory treatment in mental health settings, and said that detention on mental health grounds is unjustified.’ (http://pissedoffwoman.wordpress.com/2013/06/26/in-solidarity-with-victims-of-torture-a-survivors-short-response/)

‘Tina Minkowitz has proposed that we use June 26 as a day to write blogs and statements on psychiatric torture. This can be done as a response to or reflection on the UN rapporteur on torture's recommendations that forced psychiatric treatment of all kind be banned, or however you might think to raise awareness on the topic.’ (http://www.chrusp.org/home/psychiatric_torture)
Psychiatry needs to be put in its place, and psychiatric survivors need society to recognise the torture they have suffered and are still suffering while the psychiatric regime is allowed to thrive, continuing to perpetrate horrendous crimes.
Speak out against psychiatric abuse on JUNE 26th this year.

Stigma? Oh that, it's never going to go away...

Father of the shooter believed that the mass murderer’s artistic skills, masked his football aptitudes. ‘Footballers hurt people, artists just don’t,’ he said. ‘I’ve been scouring job recruiting articles for an answer, that’s what I think it is. He was footballistic, not just artistic.’
An analogy, yes... so understand,
It's not okay to use the same terms of abuse for victims of crimes, that are used for perpetrators ie 'schizophrenia'. It is not okay to use a medical diagnosis to condemn a person to torture. Hearing voices is a natural human experience, it is NOT an indication of being inhumane, it's actually about people who attempt to think about other's points of view, that the individual does not agree with, but because those opinions have been imposed on people, the cornered person has to think about them, in a way that doesn't change their core identity. When a person is upset by voices, it's generally an indication of a societal problem, a silence, abuse, vilification and secrecy, that needs to have open, but safe discussion with people who are trustworthy, not bio-psychiatrists who are liable to drug a child/ adult for attempting to speak out against bullying and discrimination, because they are expressing this in a symbolic way, or from another point of view, as well displaying emotional distress, or shock.

Film. Acuity of method. Round about. Hurt flash into
Those that think that... that perpetuate that tttttttttttt
SHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhtttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
But not that, not that not that, not that but access.

Sound poetry. With a hyperlink to a documentary film I'm in, recently out.
Oh, and you just thought I was going bananas eh?
I'm an artist, not a court room case! And if you really are a judge, lose your prejudice, and reserve your judgements and harsh sentences for your job!
So I can get back to my sound poetry.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh cchchcaha haha hhahahah
Beings, book, beings second happenings and things
Expressions outside the range of understood sense
And getting into expressing the feeling, the sensory,
the society sense, my percipience of that I pick up,
Add up, look up, get, don't quite get, want to question,
Toss and turn at, worry I've stepped over a boundary,
Crash and burn the crap thrown at me, hurt, but,
Hardening, sshhhhhshshshtttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
Watching hours of YouTube comedy when work,
work work is nagging to be done, but the back of
My mind is saying, no way, there is no way I want
You to think of anything but the laugh for a while.
But I look up 'stand up comedy' and it's all men. So,
I look up, 'Stand up comedy women' and men are
Sprinkled in, not that I mind men's comedy,
it's just that for the moment I've had enough of listening
to their dick opinions that cunt me
And why they get the focus when I'm looking for women.
Too serious, too angry, too hurt, get away from it
And CHCHCHsssssssssssstttttttttttttttttttt out hhhhap.
You don't know what you do, society, society, society,
That echoes within where verbal abuse bruises
To shuttersssssssssssssssssssssssttttttttttttttttttttttttttputt
Putt out eventually. I know it will eventually. These things
Must run out of their false esteem grime sheeeeeeeeeeem.
Whatever you do, don't post it. They'll think you are
um... you know, not gnawing the maul, like most glue.
Wha? I'm fine with myself, with everyone else
Just sometimes, what to say what's on my mind
Without thinking about how you might perceive it,
How you might think me wrong, weird, crazy, eeediot!
See lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Sssssssssssssssssssssssssounnnnnnnnnnnndddssssss
as AM sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeppsssssss. You know I need to be out side the range of your sense
to get my sense of humour back and stop beating you
Over the head with my angry little blogging flogging grrr
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, you
should know that............ heee hah ha h a h hahah ha ha!

Laugh, laugh at that time I was dragged off screaming
people did, but they didn't realise, they did not realise,
that psychiatry is horrific, or they did and were glad
it was not them being taken in...
the memory of what they did overbearing,
the emotional memory
is a bear, or lion eating my face off... as bad as that,
and then people have the gall to tell me I'm lying!
I fear the pain of what psychiatry has done to me,
As much as I fear the pain of some animal eating
My face off... and that's my perception, so,
make it funny, make me laugh that off, drag it out into a routine, make me beam that you've done a triple twist
on my painful memory, so that psychiatry
will stop their regime that threatens and harms
and never ever understands art or laughter, just diagnoses it.
The emotional memory hurts me when it gets triggered.
Yes, emotions, they hurt somewhat, but the pain,
The pain is my body saying: see this thing that happened,
Do something about it so society doesn't perpetuate it,
So they get it. People won't get that it's as bad to you,
As being mauled by hungry animals that just think
Of you as sustenance, except maybe in a picture... or
except maybe someone who's understanding
like your beautiful lover. Talk, make sounds, nonsense
even, until the consensual sense is thrashed out.
How to communicate with them, them, them, that cage
And hate my livid wrecking ball on their psychiatrist.
I'm talking stuff, but I'm far away from being lost
In alienation, far away from being lost in parallel
nightmare thinking, because I'm connecting, thinking,
getting stuff. And if I only get the sense of communication,
the sense of adding up sensory intake, that percipience,
into sound expression, at the start
that should be okay; if it's only a scribbly image to start
that's okay, because, no one is ever perfectly clear
and succinct to everybody. Product is not there straight away for everyone. Besides, there is always someone
who is looking though their tints and veils
And Ned Kelly mask logos to fit you into them,
To say, yeah but... me, identify with my iconography!
Even if you find them unfitting and aahhhhhhhh
Shhhhhhhhhhfttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
Goooooooooooooooooooow awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahy
they expect you to be the, because they think that they
they are the cream and when you say you don't eat
cream, that it's too rich, too sickening, they say,
don't you get the metaphor? and that's when I'm thinking
okay creamy pie endless factor in lies pill popper sty,
you talk metaphors, I think you're into poetry
so you might be into listening to the white noise hssssss
ssssssssssssssssssttttttttttttttttchcccccchchhhhhhhwr

Unshushable

Don’t need to turn up the volume on people

Who’ve been abused by psychiatry.

We’re already LOUD

Because we have every right to be allowed!

We, who’ve been abused by psychiatry

As we have every right to be heard!

Yet… we get told to shut-up, or we’ll be shut-up.

We get our volume turned down, down, down,

By those who say that our thinking is wrong,

That we must be compliant, we must obey

What doesn’t make sense, what is nonsense,

Just lies told to benefit pockets of medical thugs.

And then, the volume is turned up to high

On those masochists who say they are okay

With being drugged by psychiatrists.

Our protest is denied a large audience,

We, the unshushable, are actively

Discriminated against and again, threatened,

Assaulted, abused and forced against our will

To agree to the unagreeable disgust of psychiatry.

Those protesting ill treatment via psychiatry,

Who should be allowed to talk

Are told they are wrong to ever complain

About the hideous brain-damage

Of forced psychiatric treatment regimes.

They are told this harm was ‘care’ and ‘help.’

Lies! Lies! Lies! Lies! Lies! Packets of lies!

Teams of psychiatric professional torturers

Are brought in to justify their wrong doings

And the media circus does its routine.

Ugly show, ugly show, mean, mean, mean!

Means to an end for justifying their schemes.

And the people who are abused by psychiatry

Are told to keep quiet, or else, or else

They will be forced to suffer more treatments.

Our rights to have an opinion are denied.

Our rights to freedom from torture gone awry

With so-called scientific justifications.

The broadcasters suffer through their imbalance,

As they turn down the volume on the protest;

Those loud angry people who should be allowed,

Those protesting psychiatry erroneously shushed.

The broadcasting media then offer an interview

To a psychiatrist writing a paper about people

He used as ‘subject matter’ for his tests.

Tests to find a pop-a-pill panacea and all the rest

Of the crock that comes with quick-fix charlatans.

This arse-hole laughs and shares time with listeners

And angry ears grow red with this verbal abuse

As he talks about how he helped himself

To some people he labels, ‘mentally ill.’

He vomits out his sickness onto the airwaves.

We, the unshushable want to scream in outrage,

But we keep quiet, knowing who’s in power.

We’re not stupid, we know what happens

When we pipe-up and tell them our all.

But reason is something and sense is sense

And human-rights cannot forever be

Crushed and shushed and made to feel dead;

Social-justice in humanity is too far entrenched.

People may become frightened,

But the truth cannot be forever buried

In a brain-wash of fear-inducing prejudiced

Hoopla that supervises the cash to fund these

Idiotically abusively discriminatory broadcasts.

We reach out from our graves and make a stance,

We show all the past and reflect on the present.

We scream into blogs and places of sanctity.

We who are abused by psychiatry

Are unshushable in the minds of the truly sane.

We who are abused by psychiatry

Are unshushable in the minds of those

Who think enough to understand beyond

The current cruel dictatorship.

We who are abused by psychiatry

Are unshushable in the minds of the humane.

Anyone who has a conscience knows

They cannot keep their inner-sense down for long,

It rises up and speaks out eventually – loud and clear

Allowed, and so loud, it is unshushable.

Everyone then wonders what the hell

Has been going on to shush the unshushable.

These horrors of psychiatry are unshushable!

When the conscious speaks, its words are

Diagnosis of articles on mental health from ABC: idiot eugenicists!

But then she totally fucks up, ‘But the findings can't prove the punishments themselves caused the children to develop mood and personality disorders, with Knox pointing out that interviewees may not have known if their parents were treated for mental illness. Depression and anxiety are known to be at least partly genetic.’

Um… what does genetics have to do with it? A triple J interview says even if relatives have had a mental illness there is only ten per cent likelihood of it being passed on.

But, what genetics are linked to psychiatrically diagnosed ‘mental illness’? Um… they’re keen to find it but, hopeless at getting results, so those eugenically inclined thinkers can take action.

Just so you know from a person with lived-experience, symptoms of schizophrenia are not so much about not being able to discern what’s real from what’s not real, as not being able to distinguish from symbology of the oneiric and consensual reality during a psychotic episode or period of altered state of consciousness. And schizophrenia is not a disease it is a stress/ trauma related coping-mechanism, more akin the stupid bodily reaction of making a mosquito bite itch, that some people have more than others. It is nothing like diabetes!

There was an article on army deployment and bodily stress that got measured, but that didn’t mean there weren’t psychological problems like PTSD that continued or happened a year later or more. And I wonder… are they any closer to perfecting a human android with this information?

As for the bullshit about money centred tests! For one they were not testing people with schizophrenia, they were testing people who had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and were taking mind altering, debilitating atypical drugs that shut down everything! Of course the people on drugs had impaired functioning. That’s what atypical neuroleptics do, things like, make people, ‘not able to tell the difference between expected and unexpected rewards.’ Duh!

And then to conclude, ‘People with schizophrenia often have difficulty determining what is beneficial for them and what is not, so they have trouble taking cues from their environment and, consequently, can make some bad decisions.’

Well, I just think you utter, utter bastards thinking you can take our opinions away from us and damn us to forced-drugging because of your flawed experimental conclusions.

Then there was an article that started reasonably, ‘Rural men are more likely than their urban counterparts to commit suicide during a drought, a new Australian study has found.’

And I thought, of course drought does that. Clearly drought means bad things and stress for farmers, loss of income etc!

But then he concludes, ‘the reasons why rural men are at higher risk during drought are still not clear.’

Um… I don’t see why the reasons are unclear. Droughts are a huge stress, loss of income etc… oh do I have to repeat myself?!

And then a psychiatrist with sleazy looking eyes, who wants to be better funded than Hollywood by diagnosing facial expressions. He says, ‘We know that people with schizophrenia, particularly if they've had schizophrenia for some time have … almost no emotional expression.’

What a freaking idiot! Doesn’t even recognise side-effects of drugs! I have been told many times, especially in my early 20s that I'm expressive and readable and yes, I’ve been diagnosed schizophrenic. However when I was forced to take neuroleptics via a CTO, I not only looked expressionless, my eyes looked like a dead-fish. Drugs do that to you. Stress, coping mechanisms to stress and trauma do not quite as readily, even if they can be categorised into ‘symptoms of schizophrenia.’

Sometimes I go and read up and see what the media is doing with the idea of mental health. I want to check on them like a doting mother or something, hoping, just hoping they’ll get over their stupid psychiatric eugenics disease… but they still haven’t.

Now I’ve released all that rage against government funded stupidity, I’ll go play my song about fighting such abuses.
It's called, 'I want to live.'

Like most people, I want to be more than a stupid labrat to forced regimes of psychiatric horror. I want to see society getting better. I want society to recognise what is real and what isn't real. There's plenty of books out there that write well about mental health issues, so I'll be looking at them. I'll throw you a good one, Patricia Evans, 'Verbal abuse'. Really life changing book, when you need the definition and expansive thought about this subject matter. Inspired me to kick start a fight and get back into music after being battered by abusive (ie threatening, critical, judging, withholding...) nurses who drugged me and wanted me to sit and watch television rather than play guitar.

I want to share another video, it is about a physical health condition caused by mental health problems. I want people to understand that it is through rehabilitation, people believing in you, being allowed to heal, that recovery can be accomplished with all mental health conditions. They are not diseases. People diagnosed with 'schizophrenia' should not be condemned to the psychiatric bin of 'management' which means disabling with drugs to the point where ability to walk, talk and think much at all is severely handicapped. Watch this video and think about that:
