Tribunal rubber stamps psychiatrists dictatorship of Fiona

SIGN this petition to Free Fiona Smith, #Right2Refuse protester & platypus advocate

The Mental Health Tribunal, yesterday  rubber stamped psychiatrists dictatorship of Fiona Smith.

Despite Fiona Smith giving an eloquent and well-presented argument, and putting forth the obvious unlawful detaining of her and injecting of her, the Mental Health Tribunal chose to continue to disregard section 4.2 of the Victorian Mental Health Act 2014, and rubber stamped an order to persecute Fiona Smith for another 12 weeks.
That's 6 forced depot injections, it could kill her, if the maltreating team don't taper the dose, or stop forcing it on her.
The opening sentence from the psychiatrist launched into calling Fiona Smith out for 'antipsychiatry' politics. We had to interject that this was invalid under 4.2 of the Mental Health Act, where politics, protests, opinions and previous diagnosis cannot be said to be reason to place a Treatment Order on a person.
The maltreating team mumbled their psychobabble, and it didn't matter that no one heard them, the Tribunal Panel just went along with what the doc ordered.
To do that to Fiona Smith, who is so well-versed in law, so eloquent, despite the torturously high dose of drugs they have forcibly injected into her, is disgusting. To name Fiona Smith's political views as 'thought disordered' is just ridiculously evil, but also in clear violation of the Mental Health Act 2014.
Fiona Smith will be challenging the tribunal Admin now at VCAT.
We cannot have Fiona Smith destroyed by these monsters. She is one of the most courageous people in the world, and a peaceful resistance that the world needs.
Keep sharing this petition. World-wide support is needed.

SIGN Vic Gov e-petition for the #Right2Refuse https://www.parliament.vic.gov.au/council/petitions/electronic-petitions/view-e-petitions/details/12/159

Grievance: The Petition of certain citizens of the State of Victoria draws to the attention of the Legislative Council the much needed human rights currently being denied to Victorians, that is, the right to refuse psychiatrists’ products, procedures, programs and beds. To force Victorians to submit to what psychiatrist’s dictate, to their environmentally unfriendly, unethical, and unhealthy products, is undemocratic and violates the United Nations ‘Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities’, as well as sections 8.2 and 8.3 of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research. Victorians must have the right to choose, refuse and conscientiously object to pharmaceutical products, medical procedures or programs for personal, political or environmental reasons and have their right to refuse upheld. Victorians should not be discriminated against on the basis of a psychiatrist’s diagnosis of a person having a psychiatric disability, nor subjected forcibly to human research on this basis.
Action: The petitioners therefore request that the Legislative Council call on the Government to repeal legislation that forces psychiatrists’ products, procedures, programs and beds upon Victorians.

June 26 is the International Day in Solidarity with Victims of Torture

On June 26th the mainstream media must talk about psychiatric abuse, otherwise they’re being extremely insensitive by neglecting to do so. Psychiatric survivors need validation.

There must be huge recognition, on June 26th of the torture regime psychiatric survivors suffered, are suffering, and those who have died from it, as well as those who comply with the brain-washing, because they have little choice now they are addicted to cocktails of harmful psych drugs. The 25 years that are taken away, the abilities that are destroyed, the disabling of so many by force. It is the use of force, in psychiatry, that must stop.

Most psychiatric survivors have never committed a crime, but they are victims of crime. Society punishes those grieving, unless the grieving person has support. Support for those that are unusual, different, before their time, is not a given in most societies, especially Australia. Australia has a tendency to alienate diversity. Alienating a person, causes grief. People want and need to connect to the rest of society, and it is distressing when they cannot because of societal fears and prejudices based on ugly regimes that do not help society ameliorate, or improve society's ethics.

Australia has signed the United Nation’s CRPD. This means that use of psychiatric force on citizens of this country who have not committed a crime, is illegal.

‘The UN Special Rapporteur on Torture in March 2013 called for an absolute ban on nonconsensual psychiatric interventions, including restraint, solitary confinement, and nonconsensual administration of electroshock, psychosurgery and mind-altering drugs such as neuroleptics.  He also urged repeal of legal provisions authorizing confinement and compulsory treatment in mental health settings, and said that detention on mental health grounds is unjustified.’ (http://pissedoffwoman.wordpress.com/2013/06/26/in-solidarity-with-victims-of-torture-a-survivors-short-response/)

‘Tina Minkowitz has proposed that we use June 26 as a day to write blogs and statements on psychiatric torture. This can be done as a response to or reflection on the UN rapporteur on torture's recommendations that forced psychiatric treatment of all kind be banned, or however you might think to raise awareness on the topic.’ (http://www.chrusp.org/home/psychiatric_torture)
Psychiatry needs to be put in its place, and psychiatric survivors need society to recognise the torture they have suffered and are still suffering while the psychiatric regime is allowed to thrive, continuing to perpetrate horrendous crimes.
Speak out against psychiatric abuse on JUNE 26th this year.

More than 24 million people abused, worldwide, by medical practitioners

24 million people worldwide, that’s more than 22.68 million, which is the population of Australia. So, more people than the population of Australia are forcefully injected with neuroleptics, by psychiatrists world-wide, horrible dangerous substances, that were torturous to me, are put into their bloodstream. That’s not a tiny amount of people.

What’s contained in neuroleptics?

MUCH DISCOMFORT, DAMAGE, AND WRECKING OF HUMAN-LIFE

The petroleum based chemicals is contained in all neuroleptics:

Propylene glycol (pharmaceutical grade anti-freeze) is highly toxic to have in the body every second of your life. It’s not okay for more than 24 million people to be injected with this stuff against their will. It’s not even okay to market this stuff as a product. FDA is really negligent.

Basically, dancing to the same tune as Propylene glycol, which I’m definitely allergic to. There are many, many other awful chemicals here too beside the antifreeze derivatives: lactose, maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, plenty of GMO products etc…

Psychiatrists have given me a healthy disrespect for medical practitioners in general. I see doctors for the sales people they are. They’re unethical and break their own codes on a regular basis. ‘Do no harm’ is their first up, and they harm so much more than any other profession on earth. GPs have never helped me, but have often hindered me, by thinking they’re right and stopping me from getting x-rays that I then get later, revealing bones healed crookedly. The latest was a GP who though he could arrogantly assert that an allergy doesn’t happen with enlargements of lymph nodes and that I needed anti-biotics. Doctors are into the ANTI marketing: anti-psychotics, anti-depressives… twits.

The Australian government is reducing its funding of doctors. While I empathise with those who want appointments with doctors, I can’t help but think, good, I don’t want medical doctors to be funded, I think they’re pretty useless and destructive and I’d rather have other sectors of the community funded. Dentists aren’t funded. I’ve found dentists far more useful than GPs and psychiatrists. Psychologists aren’t funded, Art Therapists aren’t funded. Artists aren’t funded.

Oh, and if I have another workplace boss that tells me I need to go to a GP to get a medical certificate for a migraine, to take the day of, which is impossible, because I wouldn’t make it to the GP without my entire body shutting down, I just think: don’t. If you don’t trust your employees, you shouldn’t be employing them. Besides, there’s only a certain number of days that can be taken off, with pay, if any.

So, over 24 million people are told they are ‘psychotic’ in their expression and get labelled 'schizophrenic' and other such and such million 'bipolar' another such and such million yep... People are being vilified and not allowed to tell their story through any means. They are denied validation, told they are sick and then tortured for being incomprehensible, then compared to murderers and violent criminals, who are the only people that find psychiatry helpful, in that it means they don't have to go to court for the crime they committed. Nice world we live in thanks to modern medicine.

Toxic psychiatry indeed: http://www.toxicpsychiatry.com/

Paint jobs

I would love one day to see,

A psychiatric hospital

Painted up

As nicely

On the anniversary

Of the British invasion.

My body feels the attacks,

The utter fear of being

Knocked down, in such pain,

Unable to communicate

Or stay awake.

The memory locks me

Like an animal on a road

With headlights in its eyes.

I wait for such validation,

But who would do such a dare?

For psych survivors,
The fear is too great,

Of being locked up and tortured,

Without a habeas corpus.

We keep within the law

And still get done in.

So, how much worse would it be

If we did some graffiti?

We’d be too easy

For the labs to target

As a perpetual animal for their profits

Painted up as ‘unruly’ and ‘sick’

Needing to be ‘managed’,

White-gaffa on our mouths,

Ropes around our internal organs,

To keep our emotions numb,

Our thoughts quiet and scared.

Sensibly exposing the abuse

Remembering a time

I couldn’t talk about

How psychiatry had harmed me,

Lest someone think that I was ill,

Because I was accusing ‘health providers’,

Of abusing me.

So my mind, in confusion, and overwhelming

Grief at their outrageous denial, took a parallel path

And said some things

That were symbolic of what

Had happened to me,

Hoping that would be understood better.

But those things weren’t. Anything I said,

Got me put in the hands of my abusers.

It did take longer to be abducted, though,

When I didn’t mention psychiatry,

People didn’t immediately assume I was psychiatry’s lab-human

And needed to be returned to their laboratory.

I knew the sort of person I shouldn’t talk to, by then,

But understanding was still absent then, in pretty much everyone,

To my courtroom truths, as well as my poetic truths.

All paths to exposing the abuse were

Blocked into further threats to me,

That eventually got carried out.

That kind of pressure, that kind of denial,

It’s too much to handle and still be sensible.

Stigma? Oh that, it's never going to go away...

Father of the shooter believed that the mass murderer’s artistic skills, masked his football aptitudes. ‘Footballers hurt people, artists just don’t,’ he said. ‘I’ve been scouring job recruiting articles for an answer, that’s what I think it is. He was footballistic, not just artistic.’
An analogy, yes... so understand,
It's not okay to use the same terms of abuse for victims of crimes, that are used for perpetrators ie 'schizophrenia'. It is not okay to use a medical diagnosis to condemn a person to torture. Hearing voices is a natural human experience, it is NOT an indication of being inhumane, it's actually about people who attempt to think about other's points of view, that the individual does not agree with, but because those opinions have been imposed on people, the cornered person has to think about them, in a way that doesn't change their core identity. When a person is upset by voices, it's generally an indication of a societal problem, a silence, abuse, vilification and secrecy, that needs to have open, but safe discussion with people who are trustworthy, not bio-psychiatrists who are liable to drug a child/ adult for attempting to speak out against bullying and discrimination, because they are expressing this in a symbolic way, or from another point of view, as well displaying emotional distress, or shock.

The symbolic language

From volume 4 of the BEINGS book series
(enlarged versions of these pages, in the book, and also on the Beings books facebook page)

When an artist draws distress and the interpreters fail to see…

We don't want distressed young people strapped down on stretchers/ beds while psychiatrists get paid to tell nurses to stick pricks in the young person. We don't want that happening to adults either. But it happens all the time.

It's strange that the public doesn't recognise strapping a person down in a stretcher,  forced drugging and electrocution as abuse, when it's done by a psychiatrist's assistants.

That even though psychiatric abuse occurs so more often than other forms of ‘human trafficking’, it is not even considered as the cause of a distressed state. Such denial of reality the world has. That denial means a person tries other symbols to communicate the suffering that is denied. These symbols get diagnosed, instead of understood. A person's communication then is really violated. Literally gagged? Well, they don't tend to use literal gags, the white rag around the mouth killed too many and looked obviously violent.

It's strange that Australia still doesn't recognise that forced drugging is a horrific crime, accept in their signing of the UN CRPD ratification. Recognise if you are in the medical profession and ever do forcefully drug a person, you can be taken to court and if you are not convicted in Australian courts, you will be in the International Court. Psychiatric abuse is not okay, it never was.

the United Nation's CRPD ratification Australia has recently signed:

'Article 14 - Liberty and security of the person

1. States Parties shall ensure that persons with disabilities, on an equal basis with others:

(a) Enjoy the right to liberty and security of person;

(b) Are not deprived of their liberty unlawfully or arbitrarily, and that any deprivation of liberty is in conformity with the law, and that the existence of a disability shall in no case justify a deprivation of liberty.

2. States Parties shall ensure that if persons with disabilities are deprived of their liberty through any process, they are, on an equal basis with others, entitled to guarantees in accordance with international human rights law and shall be treated in compliance with the objectives and principles of this Convention, including by provision of reasonable accommodation.

Article 15 - Freedom from torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment

1. No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. In particular, no one shall be subjected without his or her free consent to medical or scientific experimentation.

2. States Parties shall take all effective legislative, administrative, judicial or other measures to prevent persons with disabilities, on an equal basis with others, from being subjected to torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.'

If you can't see how human rights can occur, try doodling for a bit to let the automatic part of your mind show you possibility that social restraints deny you... cities were built this way.

‘Silent treatment’ gene found in fathers!

No, not really.

Oh? And scientists claim there’s a ‘mean gene’ for mothers? Seriously?

Personally, I’d rather a parent express themselves to some degree than say nothing or be doped up on pills, so they sleep most of the time.

Neglect and lack of conversation, gives a child no feedback or understanding, especially if that family is located in a country area that also lacks the community input cities have.

I would like parents to have empathetic helpful professionals to talk through harsh economic circumstances, grief and trauma with, so they don’t have to use their children for this purpose. I don’t want parents fearing that if they try to talk things through with a professional they’ll be forced to take harmful psychiatric drugs, that mean they may not be able to care or communicate with their children because of the sedative effects etc.

People react to circumstances, they are not computers. Even simple life like the bacteria that lives within humans adapts, responds and changes to circumstances. Humans are not bacteria, or computers. We are not the fruit-flies scientists experiment on you gain 'insight' into human nature!

When scientists claim new genes are found for this and that, I’m totally sceptical. They’ve been claiming for years, with support from gonzo journalists that they’ve mapped bipolar and schizophrenia, when what they’ve really done is found hundreds of genes that they think could quite possible be bipolar or schizophrenia, or maybe possibly the gene that enables bad science and journalists that co-operate with these profitable lies.

I think journalists that don’t sort out scams, are as bad as the journalists that promoted a woman, 20 years ago, in a country-town newspaper, who claimed royal heritage and other bollocks, in order to get money from gullible want-to-be mothers who wished their children to learn ‘cat walk techniques’. My mother was sharp and picked her straight away as a scammer. Laughed at her ridiculous claims, while a whole lot of doped up people in the town put their money into her non-existent modelling school.

Now, my mother did get angry on a regular basis, due to economic circumstances and trauma.  But she did communicate and that was much better than silence. My father was way too silent and that was awful. But he had his reasons as well, which were due to social circumstances beyond his control. Children need stimulation. Most people do. This is what psychiatrists don’t understand. Being in the low stimulus ward in psych hospitals is very horrible and damaging. Having your mind shut-down by drugs means that you can’t even entertain yourself.

So, please scientists, discover that 'bad-science gene' and I’ll be interested to read what journalists report about it. But don’t attack mothers who are under difficult circumstances and need support!

Government farting of psychiatrisms!

Now, just a word about government initiatives in mental health. They are so out of date and offensive they are silly!

Psychiatrisms being farted out all over the place and little scared psychiatrist’s parrots saying what they should, lest they be reminded of that time they maxed out their credit card and drove across several states without stopping. Or, even that time they started accusing people of poisoning their food, when they hadn’t heard that it was actually Monsanto doing it, not their sweet innocent cousins.

There are a number of videos on this page that upset me (with the exception of Christopher who actually talks about the trauma and his recovery that happened through conversation and support.)

Why would I listen to Kay Jamison’s view that psychiatric treatment is ‘important’? She is clearly suffering under the medication she takes. I can see the way it dulls her eyes and droops her face!

I haven’t got time to critique each video and say why they’re not positive representations for recovery and reducing stigma. They do nothing for validation, or enabling either. So, I’m going to focus on an actor who should know better, in hope to enlighten her as to why she is upsetting to so many (yes of course she will read my blog, she really wants to know a psychiatric survivor’s view for her next film role…)

Dear Glenn Close, saying, ‘drapetomania’ a billion times with actor’s glee, in 1851, would not make the word less offensive. Same with saying a person has a ‘sexual orientation disturbance’ in 1970. I mean, while people ‘joke’ about brides who run away in Hollywood movies, saying a person’s sexual orientation is a ‘disturbance', a 'deviation' or a 'disorder' when there is nothing wrong with their sexual choices, is about a societal disturbance. It is society being prejudiced. The fact is, sweetheart, psychiatry is disturbing and when you repeat words like ‘schizophrenia,’ and ‘mental illness’, they hurt people like me, because they remind me how I’ve been abducted, tortured, threatened, physically restrained and had to put up with the coercive-control brainwashing that goes on, as recently as 2011. And before you jump to conclusions that I was behaving like some Fatal attraction role you played, may I remind you, about the myth that so many people hold close to their heart that people with mental health problems are violent. Yes, it is a myth. And no, I wasn't being violent.

Okay, you should’ve got that any way, because it’s on the website where you talk of your relatives and ‘their illness’. You seem to have little insight into why your relatives got so upset they went into an emotional discombobulated crisis. But you’re happy to give them labels that no one wants. (Except maybe the Bipolar. That one is new and sounds nice. Manic-depressive, people hated the sound of that. Schizophrenia, roll it on your tongue and it sounds like a cat saying, ‘back off!’ as for ‘mental illness’ being something to get used to, come off it!

So, just to let you know, these words alarm me as much as racism and sexism, probably more, because they areused to harm, disable, threaten, brainwash, dehumanise and torture, yes, even the UN agrees that forced-drugging is torture. And the public seems oblivious to this.

How could you be so stupid as not to be aware of this? Don’t you read?

Stop farting psychiatrisms and get with it! Don't turn coping mechanisms and discombobulated responses to grief and trauma into 'symptoms'! And don't you dare ever use the 's' word where I can hear it again!

Sincerely,

Initially NO

PS: If you like my poster of psychiatry farting, you can buy it at Redbubble. (Alright I'll send you a postcard I know stars expect everything for free.)

Transgenerational protest and social change

My mother’s big protest kabooie was sexism and so was my nana’s. Nana receiving half the wages of a male teacher, to feed her family with, really wasn’t okay; particularly as her husband died as a result of doing things in the war he didn’t want to do, like mowing down people with a tank. He relived the horror of doing such a disgusting act, blaming himself over and over for those he was ordered to kill… My mother’s experience involved severe trauma, so she hurled her protest around in a way that was upsetting to her children. But she didn’t do it all the time and she really didn’t have full control when society was still blaming her for the violence perpetuated against her. The mental health system at the time treated trauma, as it mostly still does, like the victim of crime has ‘problems.’ Court cases were discussed and I knew at quite a young age that a woman could be horrifically brutalised, but if she could be proven to be ‘loose,’ then she would not win a case against her attackers…

My father, although he didn’t talk much, carried environmental and wartime conspiracies. His father had been pushed off a building in Cairo during WW2. My father had also worked on environmental studies where, any information that contravened what the mining companies wanted to do disappeared, and, a colleague leading the environmental project ‘suicided.’ My father was also stopped from teaching ‘the hothouse effect’ which is a precursor theory to ‘the greenhouse effect.’ He was a very silent man, my father. But he did show his anger on occasions, generally with a big fog-horn booming voice. So I somewhat felt his protest at a young age.

I think most people carry some of the baggage from their parents and do try to make the changes to society happen, which their parents couldn’t. It kind of is the subliminal ‘job’ of the progeny to do that. But the progeny have to do it differently from the parents, if the parents really couldn’t handle the backlash of their times, together with the trauma they most likely suffered, it's no good parroting what they said.

Transgenerational protest… it’s not about genes, it’s about society, what society needs to do to become more humane, and, it’s definitely not a chemical imbalance and not something that should be said to be the ‘fault/ illness/ disease’ of the progeny, who understand the previous generation of protestors, and are trying to cope with that, and get their own needs met... lest we forget.
